  • little dipper is now at 6 flags great america IL :)

  • Why DIDN'T THEY SHOW THAT ON OUR NEWS!!! I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THERE WAS A KIDDIELAND! =[ =[

  • Back in the day we lived in Bellwood not far from Kiddleland , and my cousin at 84th & Harlem. There was a amusement park at 79th & Mannheim (or close to that). So as kids we were covered when we visited and always begged to go to a park; didn't happen often but we begged anyway. The south side one went early, b4 Riverview, I think. Now all three are gone. It was great fun, and will be missed.

    Thanks for posting.

  • @Koulrophobia I hear 6 flags bought little dipper so if you ever wanna ride it: head to gurnee!

  • No, they lost the land lease the park was sitting on. Other family members own the property, not the rides. So after 80 years it's gone. I worked here in 1976. It was a great summer! Thanks for posting the video. Besides the trains, I think my fave was the handcars.

  • so they shut down due to money?

  • damn now when i have kids i cant take them there no more only to coscos :( now

  • brings back memeories 4 rides for a quarter.do u rember the watersides that wasnt to far from kiddeland,

  • Wow, now, like Riverview, two places I remember as a child living in Chicago (1956 through 1965) are gone!

  • Little Dipper was the first coaster i ever rode...those boats Rocked, so did the flying sausers...such great memories! RIP!!
