  • Keynes' economics is not a very good one. In fact, what Obama is doing - and Bush did - is follow the Keynes way of increasing GDP through government spending. Where does gov't get the money to spend?

    Three sources

    Taxes

    Borrowing from China

    Printing money from Federal Reserve

Notice how all three are negative for the average American. What Mr. Perkins is describing is what Gerald Celente calls fascism. As long as fractional reserve banking and central banking exists slavery will persist.

  • common sense...where is it?? of course debt is the most effective enslavement mechanism. there is no reason for other countries to keep buying us debt...the jig will be up soon as china's own real estate bubble pops

  • @sanriver12

He's right about Haiti and Honduras … the US is basically forcing them to be slave states … how do you counter that with something other than swearing?

  • The new book, "Hoodwinked" is very good … but it is essentially the same book as all the others. In addition this guy is writing books about how to turn into animals and spirit walk … I have to wonder what is up this guy's sleeve … because he did this for a living … he made a lot of money doing all of this nonsense. However truthful this book is, who know where Perkins is coming from and whether he is going to sustain or really do something to bring about change.

  • what perkins says about zelaya is bullshit. i agree with all the rest.

  • @Tasadaru a government shouldn't have to tax to pay for programs? just think about that for a second. i'm not interested in your regurgitated right-wing propaganda...

  • @EndWesternTyranny . . . okay let me see if I can make this clear. This country is broke. In fact it is more than $50 TRILLION in debt. Yes, military should be slashed 50%. No argument on that. I am in the military, I know. However, a federal government should not have to tax, borrow, and print money to pay for programs. Having said that, I believe in a transition phase. I know of some people who need social programs. That is why I said no cold turkey.

  • @Tasadaru massive amounts of corporate funding goes into getting people to blame "the government," "welfare queens," and any government spending that helps the mass of people. taxes are not the problem. military spending is half of what taxes go to. don't protest taxes, protest the fact that it is being used for the military. enough money goes into the military to feed every human being on the planet for 1000s of years to come.

  • @EndWesternTyranny The federal government is bankrupt. Like I said the total liabilities of the U.S. exceed the GDP of the entire world. The entire world! I would rather have people keep their money and give to charity willingly than pay people like Bush, Obama, Clinton, Reagan, and the whole lot of them through taxation and then having to tolerate their mess ups. I believe in the people more than government; both state and federal.

  • @Tasadaru moving power down to the states only makes it even easier for corporations to play states/citizens against one another. that is why reagan moved to do this with non-military programs in the 80s. he wasn't doing it to help the people, he was doing it to help big business.

  • @EndWesternTyranny I am not saying we should go cold turkey on social programs. We should transition away from FEDERAL social programs. If a state wants to tax and borrow from its constituents to pay for social programs that will be all on them and not the rest of the republic. That was why we had states, to promote competition. Yes, military spending is bad but our REAL total liabilities amounts to more than the GDP of the WORLD. That is why gov't should not borrow or print.
