  • I already respected the character from my experience with the novels, but Chris took it up a notch - after seeing him as George, I felt like this character was an amazing guy, and I wanted to be like him - and that had everything to do with Chris' heroic, yet touching portrayal.

He may have only appeared in the first 10-12 minutes of the film, and his character may not have been well known, but he made everyone care about and remember George Kirk. It takes a special kind of actor to do that.

  • Chris was an exceptional choice to play George Kirk!

  • @heavyarms01h He's made me cry every time I've seen the movie. Wonderful.

  • Wish I was that tall :P

  • THATS MY COUSIN!!!!

  • I actually thought he was american.haha this dude going to be big.

  • he looks even better than pine

  • If he's going to play Thor, he should seriously start hitting the weights.

  • I was a little apprehensive at first when he was cast as George Kirk, a character that I've come to know quite well from the Trek novels, since he didn't seem to have a background that would automatically make it clear that he could pull off such a "meaty action hero" role like that.

But when I saw his performance I was completely blown away. He went beyond doing this great but little-seen character justice; his performance turned his character into an unforgettable role model for me!

  • He's like a head above everybody else, it's kind of funny lol. I think he's gonna make an awesome Thor, he's a good actor and he's got the looks.

  • yeah... rather have an actor who can act than someone who looks like thor and can't act =)
