5-11-11 After a long labor, the first egg for the new female at GRE Elk River, MN. The resident female at this nest disappeared Apr 22 after laying 4 eggs. Dot hatched in 2007 from Black Dog.

  • @agile1111 They traditionally nested on cliffs, so a scree of gravel is sufficient. (I really liked your videos of the chickadee and bluebird nest cycles this Spring. Thanks!)

  • Fantastic! Hopefully Dot has enough experience and a good mate to be able to incubate all eggs, when they are there and that same thing doesn't happen as with Durand.  I will keep my fingers crossed, hopefully everybody else does also! Thanks for sharing!
