What is LWSRA Basketball & Jr. Basketball?

Lincolnway SRA's basketball teams compete in Special Olympics Illinois. Our basketball teams are open to individuals who are 8 years of age or older.

LWSRA fields teams in Junior, High School, Female, & Adult divisions. All teams will start with practices to develop skills and build teamwork.

Each team will then play home and away games versus other SRA's in our area to prepare for the Area Tournament. Teams will be matched up against similar opponents for tournament play.

A gold medal at the Area Tournament will qualify your team for the Special Olympics Illinois State Basketball Tournament, held at Illinois State & Illinois Wesleyan Universities.

Registration for the LWSRA basketball teams is available in the Fall Brochure.
The basketball program is for those 16 years old and up. Jr. Basketball is for those 8 and up.
(If a participant is turning sixteen within the calendar year, they would not be able to participate at the Jr. level of Special Olympics.)
