It's how our society is and the overriding values of it that destroys the creativity of the children. Money, fame, fortune & to be "correct" all the time. How we "should" behave. Also fear. We don't want to be outside of the community. We wants to be part of it & fit in and therefore we have to follow the "rules" of behaviour...

An exmpl of wonderful creativity is "student spex" in my country. Plays by student in the univs. Very fun and creative! Then they get out to work and creativity dies...

Yes, I believe the idea of what it means to be an "adult" is one of the reasons we have so much mental illness in our society - people are not allowed a proper childhood, one where their imaginations are allowed to run wild and it's rare that they are "in trouble" for things that are really very arbitrary in the grand scheme of things. Creativity is squashed by the "adult" mindset - it's nothing but death.

Well said ! The same for me. I am trying the best I can to be a good father, even if I think I fail all the time, for not being with them as much as I would/should. I forgive myself however. I am doing my best... Besides, it is not that kid in that video that is doing something wrong. It is our society and that thing "to be a grown up". When children grow up they die a bit, not being as natural as they should be when older... (But I understand you know that. I hope Shaner Mahmud reads this too.)
