  • Great video, great tips and well done but I'm gonna have to say this video is being taken as kinda poor taste (at least for me). It's nearly impossible to actually acquire a SR1911 without having to pay sometimes 300+ over retail. I ordered mine over 2 months ago from a major distributor and so far I have nothing. So much for buying one for the centennial. You need to step up production because this is really falling short and I'm not the only die hard Ruger nut that is pissed about this.

  • Ruger, you are not doing a good enough of a job MARKETING these videos! 25 views?! Come on, Dave gives great tips and the video production quality is very high!

  • @MrJimbofox My understanding is they have greatly added production capacity in the last couple months. I guess they figured the market was so flooded, it would be a niche seller.

I'll tell you from personal experience - it's an excellent gun. Almost everything I had to nitpick from other 1911 variants, this one gets it right. Mine has close to 2500 rounds through it, no FTF or FTE, accurate, fit/finish holding up great.

Competent videos from an excellent instructor - Youtube rarity!

  • Excellent tips! Now if I could only find one.

  • Ruger step up production! This is ridiculous, it's impossible to get a hold of a SR1911... Big Ruger fan but I'm not going to wait forever for a gun that I should have gotten 6 months ago when I first started looking for it.

  • Sorry Ruger I got tired of looking for 1 I finally got a Sig!!!

  • I think Ruger has written off California on this Model. We can only get them off-list from out of state in very limited amounts. Kinda like their production?

  • Great video and tips, I too would love to get my hands on a SR 1911, but they are no where to be found! I own a few shares in the company, so am glad it is taking off, but would like to be able to buy one.

  • great video, I can't wait to get out there for more target practice!

  • @Balefulmoon LOL

  • Excellent video, thanks for the great tips on handling of the 1911.
