captwasabi , why do u think they should get money for this? they are in there because they are criminals more or less.. so they have to do what they are told.. and this is a good form of spending time in prison

So you support using inmates as a form of revenue? First, the dancing is compulsory and there are rumors of sanctioned violence against inmates who refuse. Second, the prison forces the inmates to perform in a show each month in a show to which tickets are sold. I'm pretty sure the inmates don't see much of that money. And can you cite this mysterious 98% because I've been trying to find it online.

Captwasabi, I think the money they got from this, they place it in savings. Last Nov. when there was a devastating typhoon in the Phil. , they donated I think 100,000 pesos. This prisoners also sell handcraft items. I saw it in Phil. news.
