i first saw super metroid in 1997 at a game shop,but it was too expensive and my parents didn't get it for me..now 15 years later i bought it and beat it just 5 minutes ago and i just want to say - what a spectacular game...flawless..from start to finish.it took me 8 and a half hours on my first playthrough and i loved every second of it.even after all these years it hasn't aged one bit.no wonder it headlines so many top 10 lists for the SNES - the best console ever,

@Pichu441 I was a kid when this came out, and yes it was a totally different world back then. You would go home, play on your console then go in and discuss your respective progress. Play at your own pace, not signed onto Xbox live listening to a bunch of spoiled 8 year olds wine about "lag" or "glitches". It was a different time my friend, a time that I consider myself fortunate to have experienced.

@skorpionboytarantel I wish I was a kid when this game came out! IT would be amazing to discuss Super Metroid with kids at school, but now anyone ever does is crack sexual jokes or talk about CoD.
