This song is "Human" by The Killers. I do not make any claims to own copyright - it strictly goes to Island © 2008... I just really liked these lyrics for the pictures I used... Especially, since most of these Hollywood Icons are no longer with us... These lyrics just make sense because no matter if they're gone, now... They will always be "dancing" across the Silver Screen!
There has been consierable confusion and debate over the lyrics in the chorus of this song.
This is regarding whether or not Brandon Flowers is saying "denser" or "dancer", when posing the question "Are we human or are we denser/dancer?"
But on the band's official website, the biography section states that Flowers is singing "Are we human, or are we dancer?" and also says that Flowers said the lyrics were inspired by a disparaging comment made by Hunter S. Thompson about how America was raising a generation of dancers.
But I think this song is really about death/dying. Take a look at these lines....
I did my best to notice - when the call came down the line(Knowing your are about to die)
Are we human? Or are we dancer?
(this questions is there more to us as humans?)
My sign is vital - my hands are cold
(Meaning he's dying)
And I'm on my knees - looking for the answer
(He's on his knees asking God if there is more)
Anyway, I just really liked these lyrics for the pictures I used... I hope you do too? - mirna

Ooops!! The 1st "Sophia Loren" between Cyd Charisse and Clark Gable was actually Elizabeth Taylor... Sorry Liz!! I lost my place!! Anyway sorry for any typos too!! But I think the rest of this list is pretty accurate... And no Farrah Fawcett... Sorry but she came a few decades later... : ( My apologies for any Icons left off this list... There was only enough time for so many... BTW... Check out my James Dean vs. Shia LeBeouf vid... I think that one is funny!!

These icons really knew how to deal with papparazzi... Tlak about grace under pressure! You never heard of any of them hitting cameramen and there were worse stuff others have done, recently that these Greats would never think of.... Most of the Celebrities today could have learned a lesson or two from them...
