Over 115,000 Australians have joined Missy Higgins, John Butler, the Adelaide Crows, and others who are calling on the Government to recognize Indigenous Australians' right to lead a healthy life. Unfortunately, Indigenous Australians have a 17-year gap in life expectancy from non-Indigenous Australians. This gap can and must be closed within a generation. Here Missy and voices from Aboriginal health services share successful health initiatives and demonstrate why extra funding and community-control is essential in closing the 17-year life expectancy gap.
I did fundraising for this and most ppl tht sighned up to help close the gap were ppl from over seas and aboriginals. kiwis are very giving when it came to helping. and the rest of the team i worked with found the same thing.i got alot of racist comments when aking white australians. but there where also white australians who did support them.
