Did it back fire at all? I am dealing with a similar issue right now , except it back fires, think it might be a leaky intake gasket

that was the day after the swap was finished. its all cleaned up and whatnot now. throttle cover/timing cover/balance tube all repainted black. fan shroud is back on as well.
