  • The composer is Kevin MacLeod for the background music.

  • People called Ripley a psychopath because it was the easiest way to describe somebody who defied one word descriptions

Thank you for your post. It gives me ideas in my approach to the film and what people might be interested in and since Ripley is such a famous character Highsmith created...this helps me greatly!

  • I truly hope you'll do a full documentary on the so complex and fascinating Patricia Highsmith, because it's obvious you feel the deepth. To read her work knowing her biography is such an amazing experience and, as a Swiss admirer of her, I was so lucky to visit the unique exhibition made few years ago by the Bern Federal Archives. The woman and the author, both equally complex, will never stop to fascinate me. Thank you very much for this document - and all my best wishes for your project ! ^_^

You are too kind. Thank you:) I will be posting another concept/test...feeling my way creatively speaking:)) My goal in the proposed documentary would be to capture that complex lady we love so much. Exploring the shadows she danced with in her writings and capturing the allure Highsmith continues to hold.

  • I never thought of Tom Ripley as psychopathic when I first saw the 1999 version of the movie. I was later surprised to learn that he is described as such by everyone.

Oh Mr. Tom Ripley so complex like the writer who created him:) Thank you for your post because if I end up doing a full fledge documentary on Highsmith...that's a good question to ask interviewees on their interpretation of who Tom Ripley was.
