  • hi wendy, ugh, i feel for you. it's awful isn't it? i took luke to the vet the first time it happened and they tried to tell me it might be epilepsy. i knew it wasn't because he was very aware of what was going on. i haven't had them confirm the CECS, but there are other videos on youtube of this same seizure-type episode and they all have it. i've read that a change in diet causes it. we had changed his diet, now we changed it back and he hasn't had an episode in 6 months. good luck.

  • thank you for posting this video, my vet put my lab on medication for this because he was convinced it was epilepsy but i didnt work. when i told him of CECS he told me stop internet searching and listen to him. i have since shown him this video and he has taken him off the meds. My dog is on a low protein diet and hasnt had a seizure in nearly 4 months. So Thank YOU.

  • they NEED to stay upright then the seizure is less SEVERE i know this mine was just like this. the answer is keeping hi/her UPRIGHT head.

  • Thank you so much for sharing this video. Our Lab has started having episodes that are exactly the same. He is now 9yrs old and was 6yrs old when they started. Can you tell me if the CECS has been confirmed by a vet? please!
