Pregnant woman diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor, gives birth, then slips into a coma for a year. Her mother, who stays by her side the entire time, notices her daughter slowly coming back into consciousness. I shot and edited story. Jennifer Sabih wrote, and reported it for KCBS and KCAL-TV.
@EmilyStation1994 Actually if it were up to the doctors they would have given up on her... it was because the faith of her mother that she could come out ot the coma that she is even here today.... but that being said... I hope she improves more so that she will better be able to enjoy life

Love for the mother who didn't give up on her daughter!!! That is a true mother...One that didn't believe the overpaid carnival guessers and stuck with her heart and had hope....

@ahorseyperson I'd say it's more confidence in one's ability, with a bit of arrogance as well. Research and training has taught them that they are making the right decisions. I don't wanna be the patient on the operating table with the doctor that has to ask for guidance on how to get the clog out of my artery.
I guess you could argue faith and confidence are kinda in the same boat. If that's the case, though, there is a distinct line where faith ends and training/research play their roles.

@EmilyStation1994
and when I say God I don't necessarily mean just the Christian God. Someone can praise Alah and still have faith. Besides I personally think God and Alah are one in the same with different belief systems due to the restrictions of religion. It's kind of like having nicknames from certain groups of people.

Don't doctors have to have faith that they are doing the right thing and performing the right surgeries? Yes, faith in one's self. Do you not think doctors pray for guidance or that they make the right decision? There is a big difference between faith and religion. Religion is what kills, not faith. I can have faith in God and not have a set religion. Religions were made because people didn't agree with other religions. Faith comes from the Bible and one's faith in God.
