This reminds me of when I was invited to join the circus at 13 after working there a couple of weeks. The guy who hired me called me into his trailer on the last day, as they were about to roll out of town, and offered to take me with them. It's funny how sick some people are to prey on kids like that.

Scientology is disruptive to families. Do not give them any money. Do not tell them anything about who you are. Do not believe the lies they tell.

You know, if the government itself was not involved in this organization. I think the government would be moving a lot faster to shut this group down. There is no question of religious freedom here. They are a criminal organization and should be gone.

If your Catholic your priest will educate you about God and who is this person about for free same as for Judaism and Islam. But, Scientology in order to learn more about them you must pay their materials.

@ShaySpirit75: did you read his answer? He documented that your church (just like most other churches) has a history of crime. If you're so serious, you should consider that fact carefully.
Also, the guy was a science fiction writer for christs sake! How can you possibly take him literrally??

@EmilyGreen1984 : true scientology is a cult. But all religion is based upon interpretations of fiction, just like scientology. One might even say scientology is simply more honest about it - although that too is probably false.

I can't believe ABC is calling this cult a church - if they did their research and looked at the lies written by the founder Hubbard, they could tell their beliefs and practices don't merit it being called a church. Its a false religion - meaning made up of lies.
