the only cruisers i've ridden are the yamaha enticer and royal enfield bullet 350. so how much does it differ in ride quality with such high displacement cruisers?

@kyaw5800 I don't know. The only other cruiser I rode was a Honda Shadow 650. This one was considerably more powerful but I didn't push it very hard since it wasn't mine. It also felt much more solidly built.

I really liked it which surprised me since I'm accustomed to sport bikes.

The shifting is "clunky" because those are some big ol' manly gears! There is no guessing whether you switched gears on a Victory, you can hear and feel it shifting.

@T2003Cubs I've noticed most cruisers have a really solid thunk in the transmission. I kinda liked it. It made the shifter on my bike feel like I was going to brake it when I got back on it.

Victory is a good American company that makes a good American product. I own the Victory Highball and I love it. As far as the cramping is concerned putting a Lindby Multibar on it will give you a place to put your feet and stretch out your legs. The main thing I like about the Victory over the Harley is you actually feel like you're sitting in the bike, not on top of it. Harley's just don't feel comfortable to me....and that's just my opinion.

@T2003Cubs I think the cramping was just me not being used to sitting like that. If I rode it some more I'm sure I would get used to it. It was a really fun bike and I liked it a lot more than I thought possible. If I could justify it with the wife I would have brought it home with me. I already have too many toys though. Maybe later I'll get one.

I liked this bike a lot. I've even suggested that my uncle try one out because he's been wanting a cruiser.

Where do you see that I "KEEP comparing a cruiser to a sport bike"? Different bikes have different traits. I'm just talking about the differences. I even said later it handles really well. You act like I dogged the hell out of it.
