  • I was so happy when I saw this. Everything that this video describes a steam locomotive as, is so very true.

  • Diesels are technological advance but the steam are way powerful when coal burning but they are oil burning today

  • @JoeltheSwedishDragon I can see that, and I'm glad there's others out there who think the same way I do. I've known all along that the steam engines were less polluting than diesels. Would rather we bring steamers back than keep building this new crap.

  • havent seen this since i was 5 thanks man

  • One of the steamersr in the video is almost ready for operatin after an 11 year restoration

  • @Chris9017 Exactly, man.. them selfish ignorant morons... Always judging anything by the first sight only..

  • @JoeltheSwedishDragon Not to mention stupid.

  • @Chris9017 Precisely! It's so wrong that people can't see that.. People are just being lazy...

  • @JoeltheSwedishDragon Also, if we do run out of regular oil, a steam engine can always burn plant oil also known as a bio fuel. Disneyland and Walt Disney World locomotives burn recycled plant oil and the exhaust is cleaner than the stuff that comes out of a car. Also the plant oil can be used to lubricate the moving parts. Steam locomotives are being framed for pollution they are not causing. Sure they pollute, but not as much or as badly as a diesel.

  • @Chris9017 Precisely! My point, exactly, mate! The exhaust from steam locomotives is pretty much nothin' but hot water, and in some soot from coal or wood, Plus, that kind of fuel for steam engines will never run out, as long as we got water and enough trees! All that unlike the diesel locos that pretty much dumps it's "leavings" for exhaust right into the O-zone hole. And soon, there won't be any oil anymore for them machines...

  • @JoeltheSwedishDragon The pollution of a coal burning steam engine may be dirty, but is no where near as harmful as the exhaust chemicals coming out of a diesel locomotive. The soot from steam engines is just black residue from the burning and combustion, most of the stuff going into the atmospher is either water vapor or CO2 which is fairly harmless. Diesels are much dirtier in exhaust if you really think about it.

  • @elgatovolador71 Yeah, and not to mention, steam engines are actually more environmentally friendly than the diesels, when we think of it!
