January 29, 2008 - In the past four years, Egyptian Baha'is were denied the right to register themselves under their religion in official identification documents. As a result, Baha'is couldn't obtain birth certificates or ID cards. But a court ruling on January 29, 2008 gave them back their citizenship rights.
