@Tapil There is a scene in the movie "The Haunted" where this women is standing next to a Harpsichord and the ghost tightens one of the strings until it breaks and slices her eye..... every time I tune a string I can't do it without thinking of that scene. You just have to be careful.

@Tapil It depends. But it's unlikely, unless it's held abnormally close to your face or something. I've broken strings on several occasions, and came through unscathed. However, it can be quite a shock.
