One of the songs that Bob Saxton and I performed together at CAAS 2010. This song was introduced to me by a friend and fellow Wrangler, Layne Benson. He is an awesome flatpicker and won the Utah State Flatpicking Championship in 1999.

Thanks to everyone who is listening and giving me encouragement.

If you are interested in more CAAS songs performed by Bob Saxton and myself, check out my channel. I have posted "I'll Fly Away" and "South".

  • Ahhh my dad used to play this... This brought back some memories. He's been gone now 7 years. Thanks for sharing your talent.

  • Very Best . Wonderful playing of guitars . Both are very good . excellent performance .

  • @Mandolin1944 From Wikipedia: Josef Franz Wagner (20 March 1856 – 5 June 1908) was an Austrian military bandmaster and composer.[1] He is sometimes known by the sobriquet 'The Austrian March King'.[2]

He is best known for his 1902 march Unter dem Doppeladler or Under the Double Eagle, referring to the double eagle in the coat of arms of Austria-Hungary. The march became a favourite part of the repertoire of American composer and bandleader John Philip Sousa, who recorded it three times.

  • Awesome! Nice picking. I always love that tune -- its Austrian in origin but is sure sounds like John Phillip Sousa should have written it but he didn't! (<:
