  • Why (the F..k, @#ç§!!) such a good pianist doesn't play the 2plets as written? instead of playing with "swing" right on the 3plets??

  • I was using various degrees of rubato to emulate the ebb and flow of the sea. In a piece such as this, the triplets (for example) should not sound like one is playing with a metronome. This is one of those areas where a pianist can put in their own artistry. And the use of rubato is one of the things which makes one pianist's interpretation different than that of another pianist.

  • It's no matter of "artistry" here, but of syntax. 2plets on 3plets sounds in a specific way, and no other, and artistry comes to bend this proper effect just before the point this effect becomes "ANOTHER THING". (sorry for my english, and, please play 2 on 3 correctly, no matter of metronome, metronome is out of topic here)

  • I have an idea. Why don't you give me a link to your video of this piece so I can hear and see what you're talking about specifically. I'll put your video under Video Responses so people can review it.
