IF John had been a real man he would told Kristen the truth, right there and ended it. But he didn't, everything was put on Kristen. And thats why the story sucked, except for ED amazinf acting and the fights between Marlena and Kristen, otherwise John was a huge liar and no better then Kristen. He and Marlena holier then thou attitude after what they did to Roman, was gross.. Marlena could stepped up or John. You didnt see Austin hiding his feelings for Carrie, or Hope for Bo. They were honest

I agree that John should have told the truth at this time...but in Aremid, let's not forget, he did. Kristen knew that Marlena was the love of John's life; instead of leaving him and keeping her dignity, she hung on. So while he deserves some blame, it isn't like she was completely in the dark about the situation.
As for C/A and B/H, they have lied plenty of times.
