@shiningfingerfilms Obviously it would've been very mixed, most belters will start mixing past the high C let alone get anywhere near a C6 without mixing.

Great note, but there's something about it that makes me believe it's not full. It has a weird, disconected-sounding soft spot when she slides up to the C. Makes me believe it's very strong reinforced falsetto.Awesome note regardless. The vibrato is killer.

IMO, there's no trace of mixing there. That, to ME, sounds like a pure (and quite open, healthy sounding) belt. I hardly ever consider someone to be belting past the G5, most girls start mixing, but Shindle? Oh dear! She can belt the tessitura of an aria if she wants to.
C. That was a C. Not the comfortable C, no, the lyric soprano C that many opera sopranos struggle with.
Kate Shindle. Are. You. Kidding. Me!?!?!?
(This also means you're RIDICULOUS and amazing.)

She is belting (mixing) a C6 okay? A "soprano high C". An insanely difficult note to mix, near impossible. For anyone, ever. Yay everyone happy now?
