@xxxxxx06 This is the orchestra of Moscow Filarmony. Really the orchestra was not that good as State orchestra guided by Svetlanov. This was mainly because players were not paid as good as those in Svetlanov's orchestra and many best musucians escaped to Svetlanov's orchestra. Though conductor (Kirill Kondrashin) is known as one of the best interpretators of Shostakovich. By request of Shostakovich he with his orchestrra was the first to perform the 13-th Symphony of Shostakovich

god the orchestra SUCKS. Kogan deserved such a better orchestra, especially with how well he plays this piece in this clip. I wish he played better in the one with Svetlanov.
