  • Nearby Hamilton, Ohio, does such a great job recognizing hometowner Joe Nuxhall. I agree with you that Middletown should recognize the greatest Cub pitcher the franchise ever had -- most wins, starts, innings pitched in a Cub uniform.

    I've always found it odd that Middletown has never made a point to put up a plaque or anything that I'm aware of for him. I have numerous photos of the entire family gathered there...and last I knew his home was still intact. Very odd considering the kind of record he had
