@drumrnva Give her performance of the edge of glory on Howard stern a try ;)
-
@drumrnva Well, it is in a lot of ways, if maybe more polished than ever. I guess it's her persona(lity) that makes it all seem special - that's why I suggested you watch some interviews. (Then again, this is coming from a fan of pop music. If repetition and "the same old schlock" just isn't pleasant to your ear, maybe there's no point in trying.)

@BlastItWithRain I don't disapprove of her fans at all. Just all of the music that I've heard from her the same old schlock. Sounds like pop music from the last twenty years.

@drumrnva I urge you to forget about Lady Gaga's political and ideological propaganda and her fans (who I'm sure you disapprove of in some way or another), and give yourself some time to check her out musically (through albums) and personally (through interviews on YouTube). The style sometimes makes it hard to see the substance underneath. I know it's hard to separate "Lady Gaga" from "ideological propaganda", and it is a large part of who she is, but give it a try.

I love Stephen Fry. Thanks so much for posting. One thing I don't get is his praise of Lady Gaga. I don't get it. She seems to be all style and no substance to me, but maybe I need to open my mind.

I can't believe I missed this. He's one cool guy
I just love how he tells how he met Emma and Hugh. :D I mean I KNOW they all met at school but hearing it so detailed from Stephen Fry himself as if he was in a friendly chat with you is just great!
