I had a great day on the Zig Zag and met lots of nice people, the 59 short clips I took on the trip were combined into three videos. for you to enjoy. So sit back relax and come for a train ride with a difference.

The Zig Zag is a full size, narrow gauge tourist railway located at Clarence, ten km east of Lithgow in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia. Built in the 1860s, the line was constructed to transport people and produce from the western plains of NSW to Sydney. It was replaced in 1910 by a 10 tunnel deviation. The trains, track and rollingstock are maintained and operated by the Zig Zag Railway Co-op Ltd, a voluntary, not for profit co-operative.

  • Sadly Zig Zag was closed late in 2011 after a rail accident involving to trains, I don't know when it will be reopened.

  • We are coming to Oz in October to visit our son - and the Zig-Zag railway is on our list of things to do. We visited our daughter in the States last year and took a trip on the Durango-Silverton railway - fabulous! Thanks for this vid!
