GOR STRAVINSKY : « Les Noces » (1919)
« Je commençai une partition comportant des blocs polyphoniques entiers : piano mécanique et harmonium mû à l’électricité, un ensemble de percussions et de cymbalums hongrois. Mais, là je me heurtais à un nouvel obstacle, -à la grande difficulté pour le chef d’orchestre de synchroniser les parties exécutées par les musiciens et les chanteurs avec celles des instruments mécaniques.
