Most people who play do so with small clubs in little leagues purely for enjoyment and certainly not as their day job. I have a number of friends who play futsal for fun in a small league, all of whom attend university. Likewise, I know people who play smash purely for fun at small tourneys. Even Ken, the former champion playing in this match who made tens of thousands playing, was a student too.
