-Victoria's POV-
My carriage pulled up to the huge palace. The instant it stopped, two men with matching uniforms opened the door for me. One helped me out and I looked at the mass building before me.They escorted me to doors and I entered the most beautiful place I had ever seen. I saw the Queen come towards me. I tried to compose myself and steady my breathing. Him, Prince Nicholas. Me, soon-to-be Princess Victoria.
"Victoria?" the Queen said.
I nodded. "Yes, your highness."
"Perfect! Nicholas!"
Then I saw a handsome curly-headed boy come from another room. "Yes, mother?" Then he saw me. "Oh."
He scratched the back of his head. This was going to be difficult.
"Okay, so Nicholas, this is Victoria."
I did a small curtsy. He simply nodded his head. The Queen clasped her hands together.
"So, you can show Victoria to her room."
Prince Nicholas looked at me and gave a small smile. "Follow me," he said, and led me up the stairs.
Neither of us said a word. We came up to a wooden door and he smiled. "Here's your room, he said, and opened the door.
I walked into the room and looked around. It was very elegant, like nothing I've ever seen before.
"This is really nice," I said.
He scratched his head and nodded. Was he okay? He hasn't talked to me at all. I suddenly began to question myself. Was I not good enough? Would Prince Nicholas choose someone else? What would I tell everyone at home if I went back? I quickly became frightened as I watched him only a couple of feet in front of me. He looked up and saw me looking at him with fear in my eyes.
"Forgive me. I'm just...nervous about this whole 'marriage' thing. I'm not accustomed to this and it's new to all of us."
I nodded in response after breathing a sigh of relief. He put his hands in his pockets.
"Um, would you like to go to lunch now? Do you desire food?"
I nodded slightly,. I'm not usually quiet, but I was absolutely terrified of this. Prince Nicholas, this place, my future. It gave me a fright. He gave a small smile and offered his arm. I took it and we left our room to go back down the stairs.
-Kara's POV-
After having cleaned myself up from the journey, with the help of my new servant, Elizabeth, I put on the new dress I had gotten from the wardrobe. After we were both sure that I was presentable, I went back to the bathroom and knocked softly on Prince Kevin's door. He opened the door and I noticed that he had changed clothes while I was gone.
"Are you ready?" he asked, offering his arm.
I nodded and slid my arm through his. We left through his door and he led me to the outside, where there was a beautiful garden. There were many different types of flowers, some of which I knew of. I saw my favorite flower, Jessamine. I smiled to myself as we walked further into the garden until we came to a table. I saw a younger boy with curly hair and another girl who looked about his age. I also saw a much older looking boy with straight hair. As we were approaching, Prince Kevin whispered in my ear.
"That is my brother, Nicholas. I can only assume that the girl next to him is his fiance. The one with straight hair is my other brother, Joseph. I don't think his fiance has arrived yet."
I nodded and sat next to him at the table. I nodded at all of the royalty and gave a small wave to the other girl. She smiled back. Then I saw a little boy run towards the table. He flopped down into a seat next to Prince Joseph.
"Hey, Joe. Hey, Nick. Hey, Kevin." he said. Then he stopped at me and the other girl. "Um...I don't know you."
Kevin smiled. "Frankie, this is Kara and Victoria."
Victoria and I gave the cute little boy a small wave.
-Joe's POV-
Um...it was a little awkward sitting at the table. There was Kevin, his Fiance, Nick, his fiance, and then...me. No fiance. I just felt slightly out of place. But I did notice how beautiful Kevin's fiance, or Kara, was. She was stunning. Victoria was pretty, but she didn't stand a chance against Kara.
Wait, Joseph.
My future wife is coming. I need to clear my head. I took a sip of the water before me. She looked around the table and happened to see me staring at her. She quickly looked away and I saw a light blush rise to her cheeks. I smirked. This was going to be VERY easy. Or maybe she's just modest? I don't know. Forget it. Martin, the royal vizier, came out.
"Their highness, the King and Queen, are not attending lunch today. So at this time, lunch will be served."
There goes the hope of this being a little less awkward. I shifted in my seat while the servant placed a cup of tea in front of me. I nodded and took a sip.

Actually....
I was supposed to be a cowrite, but it didn't work out.
So, it was a bit of me, her, and then Jillian also added a little to the concept.
But I actually like, ran with it...
So, yeah...there'e a few people that get credit for that...

You know.. I used to know.. but now I'm not too sure. I mean, there is just SO many different foods out there i haven't even TRIED. :)
though, at this moment.. I'm craving potato salad. :) mhm. chives! haha.
I LOVE IT!
and i'm not going to say to much because if i do I'll end up ranting about the things that are happening .. in uh.. i don't even know what chapter you're on. haha
