no the whole metal gear saga is fiction but the game is based off real historical events such as the cuban missle crisis and the cold war etc etc

I have always loved the MGS series, played MGS 1, 2 and 3 like a million times each and every ending of these games are so great.

Only by watching this scene I get goosebumps, feeling like I'm gonna cry cause it's so awesomely great.

Btw, are the rumors true that there will be made a movie out of MGS?

have to say its the saddest ending of all stories, other endings may be sad but are happy as well but nope, MGS3 was overall the biggest heartbreak anyone could ever experience, Big Boss not only lost The Boss, his mother and master, but he was the one who had to kill her Big Boss died the very same moment he pulled the trigger on that patriot. "Ever Since I killed her, i was already dead" MGS greatest story ever made

@LethalTech01 it uses alot of real goverment arms such as D.A.R.P.A a defense company and manufacturer. hints about gulf war and the soldiers who died in it and those who lived became ill with a mysterious symptom of PTSD and the uranium shells they used in the war alot of the stuff they talk about in the game is actually true but some of it is fiction although if you want to get as close to BIG BOSS there is currently a military grave site where the UNKNOWN SOLDIER lays in honor for their duty

@tanksterfromhell2k8 Its quite simple in fact. This man isnt Solid Snake. It's his father, "Naked Snake", or "Big Boss". Solid and Liquid were to be born from his gene, years later.

listen yh ima hardcore mgs fan an i am a likkle bit confused about all this, right mgs 3 wos set in like the 70's or the 80's or sumink and he met ocelot for the first time THERE yh and in mgs 1 when ur rescuin president baker u meet ocelot and its like u they never met??? and snake lost his eye right? so in mgs 2 why has he got his eye?? an in all the other games does what snake did in this apply in all the other games?? im confused someone tell me
