A slide show of the steel "Forever Roses" I make at my blacksmith shop. Contact me if you're interest in commissioning one of these roses for that special someone in your life. They're guaranteed not to wilt :-) You can see more items at http://www.olsonironworks.com

  • Hi, I have a question. The roses show after 3.00 min are made form one piece of iron?

  • @WP7V That particular rose is made out of layered templates of steel that has been affixed over a stem. The petals are then heated with a torch and bent into shape with a needle nose pliers.

  • amazing work! i've been experimenting with the same technique for roses and from what i can tell...i've got quite a ways before i get it down ^o^

  • @iamozzy1 Thanks for the comment. Don't give up on your roses. They'll get better and better the more you do. Make sure you're having fun doing it.

  • Thanks !!!

  • @Olsonironworks that's how I've been doin my roses for the past few years, makes a phenomenally lifelike rose, although I'm a fan of putting the temper colors in the petals

  • That technique is awesome, I never thought to just wrap the metal around! Great roses, well done.

  • Music should be- Send me Dead Flowers. Neat work though.
