@zensorship Tell me more I want made a few glass beads the viking way and crush the odd bottle here and there if the colour is pretty for fritz in bead making. I also looked into a company making tiles from 100 % recycled gless bottles. They claim to be the only ones as others blend like you described. I have a huge collection of bottles and want to do something with them. I have also made a terrazzo tile with clay and broken glass but it had to be tumbled first in a concrete mixer &sand

@pleabargain glass companies take it that crushed state also known as " cutlet " and mix it in with the main raw ingredients because it reduces the melting temperature there for savin money and savin gas or oil with ever cheapest to burn at the time, only reason i know this is because my dad works for pilkintons and is production line manager :)

no I don't know about that, pleabargain, sorry. I'm not in the glass business myself. I already told you all I know. But good luck to you anyway.

actually the glass factories themselves use it. Glass can easily be recycled. the only problem is the color, as there are so many different shades, and, for instance, beer bottles "need" their own color tone for each brand. but technically it's no problem. I know that because there is a juice factory in my neighborhood, they told me about it.
