Probably not, but they slotted him late, after the movie was underway and when all the hoopla surrounding The Wrestler was happening. Sounds like Rourke is one of his idols in the movies and at the parties so perhaps he is not too upset about Rourke's attention. I guess an onslot of Rourke questions at each interview would get irritating for him neverthelss lol

I don't think he likes the fact that most people are gonna watch the movie because Rourke is in it, as opposed to him.

I think Downey knew a lot of extra attention was coming with Rourke onboard - he's not upset - he loves it - he's now in the middle of a frenzy an his stock is rising. Rourke is to movies as Woods to golf - makes the whole game 'cooler' and brings more attention for all to benefit from. I really like Downey, but am going to see this one just cause Rourke is in it! Rourke RULES!
