I have a ? when building the Island of Sodor where in your opinion is the best place to start at?

@TheUnionpacific4008 I always begin routes by making big cities and yards, and then worrying about the countryside and the overall route later. Unless you're going for a big landmark, like the Viaduct or Gordon's Hill which requires a lot of attention, I'd start with Knapford, Tidmouth, Brendam, or Vicarstown. Big towns usually require the most planning to faithfully execute, and the countryside is a bit more leisurely and easily manipulated into whatever you want. Go big.

Hi there KnapfordHarbour, this video is very useful and has helped me alot with my hills. Just 1 question on the screenshot at 1:51 why do you have that track laid every so often along side the main track? is it to make a not so steep hill incline? If so its an awesome idea
Thanks again, Thorpedo619

@Thorpedo619 Yeah, I use the track to make more realistic slopes, as you can see in the next instance, the hill looks a lot more better using this method rather than using the topography tools under the first tab. Glad to be of service!
