I can tell you why all this is necessary, Michael, why everybody wants to rope you in as a sort of magnet etc, etc. The fact is, you are simply the best there is. You are both inspired and inspiring. Your passion and energy is incredible and I cannot think of another person on this earth who moves me the way you do. You are magic and always so lovely to speak to. Keep making your magic forever.

Last Sunday, 8/23/09, I drove two hours from New York to Tanglewood to watch your concert. My uncle and aunt, in their 80's, from Boston were there as well. I was caught in heavy rain on my way home. But it's all worth it. Thank you for bringing us the wonderful show. Hope to see you there again next year!

I am so happy to hear you say that "Yes, people still want to hear Rhapsody Espagnol" (and other classical repertoire). With all the doom and gloom talk about how classical music is dying, it is nice to hear an artist like you say that there is still an interest out there. I agree that classical music is still relevant, although surely in a period of change - which I think is exciting! Thanks for posting and safe travels. I hope you'll vlog more.

Completely agree with LoulieK!! People will always turn to music to get them through "global meltdown," and your dedication to it even in times such as these is inspiring, MTT. Keep doing amazing things, we all thank you for it.

Why? Cuz you're a classical music celeb and they need your face or you name to sell tickets. ;-)

Brilliant music offers an alternative to the ills of the world. You are pulled into the vortex and you bring the rest of us with you. Thank you for putting up with the hassles in order to share yourself with the world. Your work with the San Francisco Symphony, New World Symphony and orchestras around the world, both physical and virtual, is important and wonderful.
