This video contains both pictures and video of The Great American Scream which operated at Six Flags Great Adventure from April 15th 1989 through July 18th 2010. Scream Machine was my first looping coaster when I rode it back in October of 2005, and though it has been labeled as rough, which I can't argue, I still loved the ride. I'm sad to see it go but it is what's best for the park and I'm looking forward to the addition of a stand up coaster next year. The footage in this video was recorded during the 2009 and 2010 seasons with the majority of it recorded on Scream Machine's final day of operation.
This was my all-time favorite coaster ever. EVER!!!!!!!!

They better not demolish kingda ka. I haven't been on it yet, and if they do, they will regret it.

I can't believe they have done this! I rode this in July 89 not long after it opened (I was on holiday in America at the time, I was 12)....it rocked my world! They don't make coasters like this anymore and they SHOULD!! Classic old skool! All these people complaining of it being rough.....it's a roller coaster FFS, not a massage!! This was great fun and I hope they rue the day they ditched this. I remember driving into the car park and the GASM being the first thing you saw...what a sight!

Nice vid. We're definitely losing the Arrow megaloopers before their time. Granted Shockwave & GASM were aggressive rides but I think they have been removed far too soon for reasons that could have been fulfilled via other means. Remember, Six Flags owns Viper too. Better get to Magic Mountain no warning of its removal too.
