  • in light of the crash there does this sound simplistic or privileged? yes, i think it does, i even thought about taking this video down...but it is an experience many people who see this video have had - you're somewhere very foreign in the world, disoriented, tired and a little punchy and not entirely aware of the danger

i'm grateful for the chance to travel like i did that year and my condolences to those who lost someone in the crash

  • how sad...i just heard

funny how we had to not think about how dangerous it is to go there - you hear the stories but you suspend your fear

still, i wouldn't trade that experience for anything...

my heart goes out to everyone there in Lukla and in Namche

  • Ok!! a chrash is a chrash and u cant avoid it!! anyways what were u guys smoking all morning?

  • thanks djangoz. i'm glad you kept this vid up. it is one of the highlights of my life. hardly stubborn or privileged are we. frustrated? yes. i am still in touch with many of the marvelous people we met during that experience in lukla. keep in mind, this was posted WAY before the unfortunate crash.

  • Having just come back from Lukla it is not unusual for the fog to come down and ground the flights.
