@djhaiezone though i can't name the exact interface AKD uses, ANY soundcard with at least 1 input does the job (unless it's some VERY VERY VERY crappy onboard soundchip - latency)

@zodiak3000 just Ableton :) and something to trigger the events - a simple computer keyboard or a midi controller of any kind - at a friends place i use a Xbox360 pad :)

i really want to get into looping like this. ive been a turntablist for 7 years. what equipment are you actually using to make this happen? i own some techs and a rane ttm56....
