just add the stance if you want to offer no shot and duck the ball..perhaps just follow the instinct :)
anyway very useful information...thank you
-
serious question y people dont come back and across for spin ??????????
-
my only concern with this would be playing the cut shot and to a lesser extent the pull, to a play the cut most of the time you need to get further across you will find yourself reaching for the ball,
I think this is a really good method for someone who has a bad trigger movement of straight back or backing away, turning a minus into a plus

The yorker comments are a bit daft, just because you go back doesn't mean you can't get at low ball or you stop watching the ball, usually if you get a really good yorker it's caught you by surprise on the crease if anything you'll have a little more time to play the ball, if you keep your head still & eye on the ball you'll be fine.

This looks good - I'll have to try and remember this and try and apply it in the nets in Jan, I like the way the head come in line with and over the stumps.

The best players stay still and play the ball as it is, either moving forward or front. Watch Tendulkar, still and just moves his feet where they need to.
-
Not saying this is wrong.... BUT....you should always get your weight coming forward first with a triger movement because its a lot easier to push of your front foot and go back then it is to push off your backfoot and come forward. first port of call always come forward!!!!! ALWAYS.... x

If you get a yokker your are screwed in this move

Good advice; watch top cricketers move around the crease before a quick releases the ball.
If you are as good as Tendulkar when facing 90mph bowling then you don't need this video.

think it should be named back foot shots,,not trigger movement

It's not for back foot shots though. It's for playing fast bowling where you are mainly on the back foot with the option of coming forward.
