This is the roller coaster music from Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. Too complex to be built, so it comes out fully formed. :)

I looped some parts (each loop 16 beats long): the "bibble" drone (bottom left corner), the "t-k-tss" percussion (upper mid right), and the "boo-deh" bass (bottom right corner). The three lower "ooh" brass parts from the intro are repeated in the outro, and the "boo-dah boodah" synth octaves are repeated throughout.

The "oof, oof, oof" bass beat drops out a few times because I was lying down while doing this and my spit was running down my throat.

The only sounds not directly represented in the video are the delay and reverb on the main part (sung by the biggest me).

  • Its been so long since your last video I forgot I subscribed!

  • Yeah, sorry I took so long. I don't have a good setup so it's kind of a pain to make the effort, and I talk myself out of ideas.

  • DID YOU REALLY MAKE THAT HIGH-OITCH SOUND???? If you did, i want your voicecords :D

  • Every sound in this video comes ultimately from me. (I assume you're talking about the screams. High pitched sounds are easy when you don't have to hit a specific note! I constricted my throat and inhaled to do it.)

  • @unfasten Don't talk yourself out of any ideas. Make the vids. and let us decide.

  • I LOVE your videos! This is amazing stuff! You have set up this video well.

  • This must have been a trip to put together. How on earth did you make those high-pitched video game sounds? VERY authentic! And the squeaky stuff must have been painful -- but also sounded legit.

I love your work and am a happy subscriber, but I would like to suggest you get yourself a better camera ;) Keep 'em coming!

  • ...Wow. This is like a mind bomb cause my mind is BLOWN.
