I used to use the heavy pointed picks alot the olny problem I had was that sweeping was hard because it caught the strings easily , But the picking was nice , and Picking with normal picks seems to have a smooth er sound

Oh cool, I tried using red bear picks (big jazzer gypsy jazz gauge and lil's jazzer gypsy jazz gauge) but each one only lasted a couple hours before being worn down to a nub.
Guess it's because I use very heavy strings and pick very hard.

Guthrie is an excellent example of an extraordinary guitarist who does takes seeming easy and ordinary techniques of the guitar and takes them to the level of extraordinary by doing them so flawlessly...he is the perfect guitarist and there will never be another like him

What pick is that?
It looks to me like it is thicker at the held end and thinner at the pointed end?
