Pokémon Platinum, A Soft-Reset Shiny Darkrai Encounter! [7.1.09]

Ooh-aah ~

Since uploading my Platinum Darkrai Event demonstration video, I had restarted the game in order to be able to capture another Darkrai, only this time it was in my intents to Soft-Reset until it shone.

So yesterday morning I had defeated the Elite 4 in my new Platinum file, and straight away accessed Mystery Gift to download the Member's Card again. Of course I had to meet Cresselia on Full Moon Island and take her Lunar Wing to the Sailor's child in Canalave, before I could enter the old inn and face Darkrai.. Not expecting to have a whole lot of time, I released her without trying for a competitively viable nature and IVs.
.. BUT, less than two hours continual SRing after landing on New Moon Island, I glance downwards at just the right moment to see.. *ping* - Shiny Darkrai appears!

Looks like I will have enough time to restart and download a 3rd Member's Card after all 8D

Despite my luck in finding it so soon, and that my Timid Synchronizer done it's job for once, the Shiny Darkrai's Speed and Special Attack IVs are both like.. in between 0 and 2 :/

On the other hand, that Cresselia ended up having a Bold nature and decent IVs..

why do people play non-english games yet they are english? honestly you can't wait for it to come out in english? So you're gonna go to Japan(or wherever) just for a game that comes out in 5 months? sad....

@Evilbusdriver12: Maybe because they do not care about the story (if any)? Or perhaps even though they are natively English, they might just understand enough Japanese to enjoy the game (so why wait)?.. OR even, it could be that they thought it would be a fun way of trying to pick up on some more of the language (and why not)?

Whatever the reason, it is only "sad" when /you/ fail to grasp the meaning. Also, why on earth do you think I actually went to Japan? Ever heard of air-mail? (it flies!)

but why dont you just buy AR i know u have to get it shiped and stuff but its good

and btw i have found about 2 starters shiny without cheats and each one took about 2 week 4 hours a day so that is wy i got ar

@Winnders: I already have access to an AR. But if I wanted to get a quick Shiny or two then I'd abuse the RNG, rather than hack.

The whole reason I played Japanese games was to learn. Although I actually got the Final Mix series for Kingdom Hearts. (Vocals are English, but commands/subtitles are Japanese.)

LOL, youre screwed XD. my friend has a japanese shiny darkrai with a :) example: DARKRAI :). sadly, I have no proof. but hey, its a glitch

@Evilbusdriver12 Maybe to some it doesn't matter. So what if they want to play the game in a different language? I don't see what the big deal is. Hell, if I had the money, I would buy the Japanese versions myself, just because they're cool. Just enjoy this person's video without complaining about their choice of a game version. So I say to you, halcyonXIII, awesome job on getting the Japanese version! =)
