My buddy Jedd Johnson and I go way back....and every time I see him I get put to shame in some grip feat of strength, like our Earth Day Fundraiser a few months back.

That's Jedd in the red trying to tear through a ton of phone books with my "help." He was working on that monster in his hands when I snowflaked him! Bam - Beat that!

Jedd and I also are big fans of playing baseball. Believe it or not, I was actually a high school pitcher and made an all star games despite only throwing two pitches: fastball for a strike, and fastball high and tight.

Jedd on the other hand still plays to this day, and has throws a wicked pitch. Obviously the dude has some serious hand strength.

He is also releasing his "Ultimate Forearm Training For Baseball" ebook today, so I thought I would point the baseball lovers here in the right place.

Also, I think the Synergy readers are a very logical bunch. I'm not just sending you some second hand information. I took the 2 hr drive to Jedd's to get you some exclusive video.

Check it out, then check out Ultimate Forearm Training For Baseball and make a logical decision on whether you want to take it to the next level in terms of hand strength.

PS. We did a second video with grip exercises you can do in a commercial gym to help out more people.

  • how many times do you perform the circuit?

  • @thrashmetal1029 3-5 times through depending on where you put it in your workout. Thanks for the question - Joe

  • This beats the crap out of a rice bucket, lol! Great vid.

  • @ObamaWhyNotBluRay haha, good point. I love the rice bucket - but it is more of a simple finishing / prehab exercise while these can go right in your strength workout!

Thanks for checking it out and commenting!

  • ok so i did the sledge hammer one, and now my floor is cracked..

  • I've seen most of the videos doing sledge hammer training they hit a tire, I do it hitting a large log in the center. Besides maybe breaking my sledge handle do you see any advantages or disadvantages of this? thanks

  • I was just thinking of new stuff to do with my sledge. That swing + halt really maxes out your grip! Probably best to do it outside if you can, just in case you lose control of the hammer and have to bail.

  • Holy Fxxk! what a cool t-shirt Jedd! 'Sort of Perseus and Medusa's thing?

and nice exercises too, thank you!

    ;-)
