Doom Builder Tutorials - Possible Website?

I've been looking through my videos, and reading all of the comments and feedback from everyone, and it looks like everyone has been really thankful and passionate about Doom, doom mapping, and preserving the community, so with that in mind I started thinking about making a website to put all of the Doom community in one place - everyone would have the ability to upload their own wads, rate other users' wads, download wads from the massive archive, and there would of course be a forum where users can post about their upcoming projects, collaborate on wads, give/receive mapping help, and even schedule matches against each other. I would love to oversee something like this, and I would love for all of you to be a part of it and keep the doom community going.

DoomWorld, PlanetDoom, Realm667, etc. has already defeated the purpose that you attempting to accomplish.

Something that would be great is if you could bring back DoomConnector and mIRC like community with rooms that contain Doom games and use any Doom engine such as Legacy, Skulltag, ZDoom, ZDaemon, etc.

I miss the days of DoomConnector.

@HFRyan The problem is all of the aforementioned websites have piss-poor moderation and servers :/ I essentially want to take the idea behind all of those, but make the whole thing more accessible, user friendly, and just overall better.

I agree with JaundiceJaun, DoomWorld,PlanetDoom and Realm667 arent as good as they could be and aren't that user friendly. I think making a new site is a great idea, realm 667 doesnt have a section for midi music files etc and any wads released by their community dont really get known because its just scattered in the forum and there are some good ones out there which is a shame. If wads are good enough they should be added to a library on the site itself.

Why would you like to play zdaemon when you can use skulltag?

Site seems like it would be a tough thing to pull off. In general people are used to going to certain sites for the doom needs, and I can see it being hard to attract other to your site. That however is my guess, I could be wrong. The server thing I would say could be in easier. Maybe just have a simple forum people can vote on for the next map they want to play. Again not sure how successful that would be cause that was initially the idea behind skulltags FnF and I believe that died off.
