  • I'm very happy that R 761 still lives. I hope she continues to steam on.

  • She'll be in service for quiet a while to come.

  • R 761 is one of my top favourite steam trains every. She's actully a british engine built in Glasgow Scotland.

    She's was one of the 70 class that was first delivered to Australia in 1951.

  • Yep it is a very good engine. There was 70 made, and only 7 remaining today, but thats better than some other classes of VR steam.

  • LOL. Well it was worth it. I wouldn't travel far just to see something which you can see every day of course.

  • @G516R700 Neither would I! Just 2 years and 3 months later, I got the opportunity to see R711 going to Seymour! Only 25 days ago from now.
