This is the second part of a series of Samoan language videos I sent to the states to help folks learn the Samoan language a little bit.

For actual audio lessons on speaking the Samoan Language, please go to: http://www.waste.org/~danger/samoa_language.html

A Samoan RPCV, Aaron Prust, worked very hard to collect the audio and place it all online for your enhancement.

  • sole..good morning is manuia le taeao.....and malo/talofa means hi...eh

  • @pandajerk25 Taeao is "Tomorrow". Manuaia le taeao would be like saying "Have a good tomorrow". Malo/Talofa can also mean Hi and Good morning.

  • Excuse me!!!!!

I was always taught that Talofa Lava meant hello.....

  • Talofa Lava is usually used as a response to "hello" or as a "Thank you".

In Samoan, there are many ways to say one word - just like in English.

  • okay, i know "faapaleina1234" was rude in his criticism, but he/shes right. theres no point teaching the language if you aint speaking it right. ae malo lava le taumafai...i might just make my own video.

btw, luv ur samoa street episoides...the gay/not gay dude is hilarious. also, ur hot. i love the sound of ur voice.

  • Well the only folks that can speak it 'right' are Samoans or if you've lived on Sa for a long period. I'm not either, so my accent might have caused some confusion. But if it inspires Samoans to make their own language video - then my work is done.
