  • Honestly, I couldn't care less what each individual rep looks like as long as my outcome is a increase in my one rep max. I go below para every meet and win. Thats what really matters.

  • While it is impressive to see someone at your BW handling that much weight, I was disappointed when you didn't even hit parallel. Why not deload by 20-25% and squat ATG? Full deep squats are better on your knees and will help you develop strength in your hams, glutes, and quads. Like I said, 500lbs at 165 is no joke. But it would have been ten times more impressive if they had been full deep reps and not 1/2 reps.  One good thing though is that you weren't using the Smith machine.

  • good form good squat this is the right way to increase strength 500 x 8 is close to a 600 1 rep max at 165 thats beast

  • lol who cares about form at this point....you are like 80% there...with a little work you could probably do the same going deep

  • @rdeffleymoviesnew good points, could be that he doesnt train like this tho and he does hit para btw its not a half squat its more like 75% squat, ive seen guys my gym doing half, its over a half but maybe it works best for him i always go bellow paralel or somewhere there but i dont squat a lot at all i barely do 60% of what he does and hes the same BW as me (little bigger)
