Baghdad has been dubbed "The City of Walls" since sectarian violence erupted there in 2004. Blast walls are used as a political weapon to keep the people divided, and to disable any chance of unity amongst the population. This image reimagines a blast wall taking on the form of a Qanun, or zither. Qanun in arabic also means "law".
The soundscape was put together using all of the sound pieces in the Warchestra series, played backwards, as a symbolic amalgamation of the chaos that reigns in the city.
